Roberto Alvarez
Roberto Alvarez holds the following academic degrees: a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (UMSS Cochabamba); a Professional Diploma in Social Project Management (UMSS CESU); a Master’s degree in International Trade (NUR Santa Cruz); a Master’s degree in Higher Education (UMSS Cochabamba); and a Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Virtual Education (TUI University, New York).
He was a Tenured Professor in the Faculty of Economics (UMSS); Director of the Research Center for the Business Administration Program (CICA); Academic Coordinator of the first Postgraduate Program in Business Administration (CESU UMSS); Tenured Professor at the Universidad Católica San Pablo (Cochabamba); and Academic Coordinator of the Public Accounting Program at the Universidad Católica San Pablo (Cochabamba).
In 2005, his doctoral research project was selected by the New York City Department of Education (NYCDE) to be developed in Districts 27 and 28 of Queens, New York; from 2005 to 2008, he was a member of the Community Education Council of the New York City Department of Education. His Doctoral thesis was published by ProQuest and registered in the Library of Congress of the United States. In 2010, his thesis was selected to be part of the collection of the Institute of Education Sciences (ERIC) of the United States.
In 2009, he established his residence in Toronto, Canada, where he has participated in various social and community development projects. In 2014, he was nominated as a candidate for the Toronto City Council for Electoral District 3 (Etobicoke). During 2015-2019, he worked as a researcher for the project “Toronto City Competitive Initiative” (CCI), in the area of organizational learning and development.
He is currently an instructor in the International Business Program at Northern College in Ontario, Canada, at the Scarborough academic unit (Pures Campus). His teaching field is organizational management, with an emphasis on the areas of Entrepreneurship, Organizational Development, and Project Management.
